Lenzburg, January 11, 2024 – Following the completion of union negotiations and formal transactional procedures, the sale of the Hero Group’s Gluten Free business to Dr. Schär was completed early January.

The sale was announced last August and includes the Hero Group's gluten-free crisp bread factory in Korsnäs, Sweden, and its complement of staff.

Dr. Schär is a global leader in gluten-free nutrition and food for people with special nutritional needs. Dr. Schär has been involved in the gluten-free industry for more than four decades.

The sale of the GF business is part of Hero’s long-term strategy to focus on three main categories – Baby & Toddler Food and Snacks, Healthy Snacks, and Natural Spreads.
