Policies and principles
Our commitment to corporate governance, responsible business practices, and human rights is the foundation on which we build trust. Over the years, we have developed comprehensive standards and policies to manage a wide range of issues.
Code of Conduct
The Hero Code of Conduct, guided by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the International Labor Organization (ILO), forms the basis of all our business activities. The Code of Conduct requires Hero employees and business partners to apply fair practices, to adhere to our ethical standards, and to act with integrity in terms of human rights, non-discrimination, child labor, forced and compulsory labor, rights of association, anti-corruption, and anti-competitive behavior.

Human Rights Policy
Human rights are fundamental and must be respected and protected at all times. As a global food business, we are committed to upholding internationally recognized human rights in all our operations, including our supply chain and interactions with local communities.
Our Human Rights Policy commitments are comprehensive and aligned with international standards, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
Sustainable Farming Principles
Sustainable farming fosters practices that help preserve our environment while producing better crops, raw materials, and food.
Our Sustainable Farming Principles provide a definition based on what we believe we can achieve in our food system. They form the foundation of how we work with our suppliers and farmers across the Hero Group.
Sustainable Packaging Principles
We develop and source our packaging materials with a focus on quality, food safety, and environmental sustainability, adhering to the principles of the waste hierarchy.
Our Sustainable Packaging Principles and internal packaging strategy guide our efforts to reduce, rethink, and recycle our product packaging more effectively.
