Lo haremos en nuestras instalaciones de producción, pero también trabajaremos con nuestros colaboradores para impulsar juntos esta ambición.

Nos hemos fijado la audaz ambición de hacer que nuestros procesos de producción sean neutros en carbono. Esto significa reducir nuestro consumo de energía (planeamos reducir a la mitad nuestro uso de energía para 2030) y comprar o generar energía verde.

Para lograr nuestros objetivos, la sostenibilidad se está integrando a propósito en nuestro negocio. Seguimos de cerca y planificamos nuestros gastos de capital en sostenibilidad. En 2022, aproximadamente el 6% de nuestro gasto de capital contribuyó a nuestro objetivo climático positivo. Además de un camino claro de reducción de energía, nuestros esfuerzos también están orientados a reducir el agua y los residuos al mínimo.

Near-term targets

The Hero Group is committed to reducing absolute Scopes 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 46.2% by 2030 from a 2019 base year. We also commit to reducing our absolute scope 3 GHG emissions by 28% within the same timeframe. The target boundary includes land-related emissions and removals from bioenergy feedstocks.

Long-term targets

Alongside our near-term targets, we have also committed to reducing absolute Scopes 1 and 2 emissions by 90% by 2050 from a 2019 base year. The Hero Group also commits to reducing absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions by 90% within the same timeframe. The target boundary includes land-related emissions and removals from bioenergy feedstocks.

Overall net-zero target

The Hero Group commits to reaching net-zero GHG emissions across our value chain by 2050 from a 2019 base year.   

Reporting on progress

Our Hero Group approved emission reduction targets are publicly available through the SBTi’s target dashboard. The SBTi’s target dashboard shows companies and financial institutions that have set science-based targets or have committed to developing targets. 

We furthermore report the progress against our approved SBTi targets on an annual basis through our Annual Report.
